3D Embroidery

3D Embroidery is a specialised form of embroidery that creates sculpted, raised surfaces, giving designs a bold architectural presence and premium tactile appeal. Unlike conventional embroidery, 3D Schiffli embroidery achieves depth through controlled stitch density, layering, and post-embroidery finishing processes rather than foam alone.

At our unit, 3D designs are executed on advanced Schiffli machines from LÄSSER, known globally for their precision, stability, and ability to handle complex, high-density embroidery. The process begins with carefully engineered designs where stitch structure, tension, and layering are planned to build volume and form. These designs are then embroidered on a base fabric or support material using specialised threads and controlled stitch buildup.

Once embroidery is complete, the fabric undergoes a chemical washing process, where the base or support material is selectively dissolved or softened. This crucial step releases the embroidered structure, allowing the design to stand independently with a pronounced three-dimensional effect. Post-wash finishing ensures shape retention, smooth edges, and long-term durability.
